The ongoing work of
the Swannanoa Business Association strives to weave the fabric of
community through business relationships by providing resources,
relationships, and events fostering responsible economic growth.
Support & grow existing businesses via the following resources, relationships and events
- Provide networking opportunities for local businesses
- Business Association holds quarterly General Membership meetings at a local member’s place of business
- Monthly board meetings are open to all members
- Members are invited to Black Mountain/Swannanoa Chamber “After Hours” events
- Provide Marketing Opportunities at low or no cost
- Members are listed in monthly paper and e-newsletter (online)
- Members are listed on Business Association website with links to their websites or email addresses
- Ongoing opportunities for co-op or discounted advertising
- Publishing articles on member businesses in newspapers and on websites
- Spotlight a member of the month on Business Association website and in newsletter
- Provide information for economic/financial assistance as well as free or low cost business
- education and consultation
- Sponsor free or low cost business education, marketing and finance classes locally
- Provide speakers on topics of interest and assistance to members at Association meetings
- Provide information on free or low cost business classes and
assistance from orgnizations such as SCORE and A-B Tech
